Introduction to HIV advocacy, communications and culture

"If you think you're too small to have an impact, try going to sleep with a mosquito."
Roddick, Anita

Many NACAs have developed HIV advocacy and communications strategies to define how they plan to communicate messages about HIV prevention, care and support to the general public and to other, more specific target audiences. Not many of these strategies refer to the need to communicate about, and advocate for, HIV monitoring and evaluation however.

HIV advocacy, communications and culture is the last component of the ‘Planning, Partnerships and People’ ring of the 12 components of a functional HIV M&E system.
